Exponential revenue growth allows Estes to add new capabilities and move west of the Mississippi. The company forms key alliances with three other North American carriers to establish ExpressLINK and provide service to all of the U.S. and Canada.

Robey W. Estes, Jr., Promotion to President
The Estes family sees its third generation guide the company when Rob takes the helm at Estes Express Lines.

1991

First $100 Million Year
Estes' annual revenue reaches the $100 million milestone.

1994

First $200 Million Year
Estes doubles its annual revenue in three years, bringing in $200 million at year's end.

1995

G.I. and Lakeville Partnerships
ABC buys G.I. Trucking parent company Carolina Freight. As a result, G.I. needs a new east coast connection and calls on Estes to propose a partnership. G.I. and Estes develop an exclusive agreement to combine efforts. Estes recommends Lakeville Motor Express to G.I. as a good carrier for ther needs in the Midwest.

1996

ExpressLINK Is Launched
Four separately owned carriers—Estes Express Lines, G.I. Trucking, Lakeville Motor Express and TST Overland Express—form a voluntary alliance different from anything in the industry. ExpressLINK turns its member carriers into nationwide transportation providers with coast-to-coast North American coverage.

1997

Gold Medal Guaranteed Service
Estes' premiere of a guaranteed delivery service advertises the fact that "Our Gold Medal Expedited Service is so good, we'll guarantee on-time delivery or you don't have to pay!" Shippers choose from delivery options that include 10:00 a.m., 12 noon and 5:00 p.m. Delivery is restricted to Estes' direct territory.

1999

First Terminal West of the Mississippi
The St. Louis, Missouri, terminal becomes Estes' first facility west of the Mississippi River.
