Estes/G.I. Trucking Collaboration
In an unprecedented move, Estes and senior management of G.I. Trucking complete a joint purchase of G.I. Trucking's stock from ABC Corporation. All communication, administrative and computer functions move to a single system. Separate management is maintained, but the two companies collaborate on operating and marketing strategies.

Right-Way Solution Center/Five Core Services
Estes unveils the Right-Way Solution Center and the Five Core Services (LTL, Expedited, Volume and Truckload, Offshore and International and Supply Chain Management and Warehousing).

New technology connects customers, trucks and docks to the mainframe.

Estes acquires 100% of ExpressLINK's Los Angeles-based carrier, G.I. Trucking.
2006
Seventy-Fifth Anniversary
Estes celebrates 75 years of stability and growth in the freight transportation industry.

The ExpressLINK carrier network consisting of Estes in 46 states, Lakeville Motor Express in the upper Midwest and TST Overland Express in Canada celebrates 10 years of cooperation and high-quality service.

The company mourns the loss of its beloved leader and son of founder W.W. Estes, “Mr. Robey,” who dies at age 85.

2007
Focus on Next-Day Service
Estes sharpens its focus on building next-day and second-day service.
Estes Air is legally reorganized as Estes Air Forwarding LLC.

2008
Estes Goes to All 50
Estes and Lakeville Motor Express amicably dissolve a 12-year ExpressLINK alliance in order for Estes to expand into the upper Midwest and offer direct coverage to all 50 states.

Estes becomes one of the first LTL carriers to become TSA compliant. The company’s processes and training now meet the Transportation Security Administration guidelines required for a carrier to make air cargo deliveries to outbound commercial aircraft.
