Documentation

  1. The Mexican importer hires a Mexico Customs broker.

    Typically, duties and taxes must be advanced to the Customs broker prior to clearance and crossing.
  2. The Mexico broker prepares the import entry and coordinates border crossing.
  3. Estes works with Estes Logística to arrange a designated carrier in Mexico.

Freight movement

  1. Estes picks up the shipment in the U.S. and does an interim delivery to the U.S. Agent of the Mexico Customs broker.
  2. The U.S. Agent of the Mexico Customs Broker inspects the cargo to validate the description and shipment detail. The Mexico Customs broker also arranges physical border crossing.
  3. Mexico Customs may inspect the cargo, and in most instances, will release it after inspection.
  4. The designated carrier for Estes Logística receives the shipment from the border crossing carrier and arranges delivery to the Mexican importer.
