Since every supply chain is different, Estes customizes our services to fit your specific needs. Our asset and non-asset solutions include the following:
Design and Management
Estes offers high-level planning, process design and overall management services. Whether you need us to create the most efficient route possible or monitor and manage your entire transportation system, we can help.
Product-to-Market
Reliable, on-time delivery and distribution are vital components of a healthy supply chain. That’s why Estes offers a full range of services designed to get your freight to its appropriate market quickly and efficiently.
Dedicated
Put Estes’ dedicated equipment, facilities and personnel to work for your business. We have both asset- and non-asset-based fleet solutions to meet your ongoing freight transportation needs.
Disaster Preparedness and Response
Estes has been very successful in helping government agencies prepare for and respond to major disasters with relief supplies to the affected areas.
Logistics Centers
A logistics center serves as a “hub” or “nerve center” for transportation and logistics activity. That hub can either be a location driven by systems, data and analysis or a physical freight-execution location. At Estes, we can provide for either kind of function.
Process Management and Engineering
Our experienced supply chain professionals provide you with in-depth analyses of your production, shipping and distribution processes. We then work with you to engineer a customized action plan for implementing improvements. And every process plan identifies specific strategies for continuous improvements.
Third Party Logistics Management
When your business requires transportation and logistics expertise, consider a strategic alliance with Estes. With our global partnerships in warehousing, as well as air, ground and ocean transportation, we have a network of resources to meet your supply chain needs.
Transportation Management and Optimization
You may need a single-link or an entire turnkey solution to satisfy your transportation requirements. At Estes, we provide both. Our process-oriented approach incorporates a full spectrum of tools to evaluate your company’s operations, service requirements and transportation costs. We work with you to prepare a strategic management plan designed to deliver cost-effective service improvements that are ready to implement. We also help you monitor and manage your transportation program, keeping in mind the three important basics: continual improvements, long-term customer satisfaction and cost containment.
Product-to-Market
Consolidation and Distribution
You may need us to consolidate LTL shipments from your production facilities, distribution centers or vendors and then get them all to single or multiple destinations. Or, you may need us to pick up large quantities of freight at a single point, deconsolidate them into separate shipments and distribute them via LTL, air or truckload to your end users. Either way, we quickly get your goods safely into your customers’ hands with minimal handling. And while we’re at it, we help you develop solid strategies to automate processes, streamline operations and reduce costs.
Cross-Docking
In its purest form, cross-docking is the action of unloading materials from an incoming trailer and immediately loading those materials onto outbound trailers, eliminating the need for warehousing and storage. Many “cross-docking” operations require staging areas where inbound materials are sorted, consolidated and stored until the outbound shipment is complete and ready to ship. Cross docking can be essential in helping to regulate the flow of goods, and, in this manner, can be designed to meet clients’ specific delivery requirements.
Pool Distribution
With pool distribution, you can make your supply chain a lot more efficient. To help avoid excessive offloads, we combine multiple LTL shipments headed for a common marketplace onto one trailer. Then, we deliver your freight to a central distribution facility for local or short-route delivery. This results in reduced handling, lower costs and shorter transit times. With over 200 facilities throughout the U.S., we provide you with a virtual network of distribution solutions. Using that network, we create optimal results for you based on the absolute best efficiencies and economies of scale.
Product roll-out
Special logistics and technology required to manage the process of getting product to market, either simultaneously or staged.
Reverse Logistics
Sometimes you need to put your freight in reverse. Our reverse logistics help end users dispose of used, damaged or outdated products and reusable packaging. We can retrieve these items from anywhere in the country, consolidate them, and then deliver them back to your centralized receiving locations. Our centralized coordination provides you with superior tracking/tracing capabilities and metrics to maximize efficiency and contain costs.
Dedicated
Specialized dedicated-services technology provides comprehensive, end-to-end visibility. Strategically located logistics centers also facilitate getting your product to market—or getting material returned to you—with minimum handling and optimal timing. And in-transit security plans as well as other extra security measures can ensure that your more sensitive cargo is safe.
Retail Delivery/Store Replenishment
We can pick up your product from a terminal, warehouse, distribution center or another store and deliver it directly to the retail location you need it in, when you need it to be there.
Store-to-Door Delivery
We pick up finished goods directly from your suppliers (at the point of origin) and deliver them right to the end consumer completely ready to go. We can even coordinate your home deliveries by utilizing our logistics centers. Services can also include:
We know that service quality is critical, especially when it comes to home deliveries. We also understand that any time we deliver for you, we are an extension of your business. That’s why our drivers’ uniforms and our trucks can display your logo prominently as desired, and our drivers can carry specific identification.
But no matter whose logo is on the uniform, you can be assured that Estes employees maintain the highest standards of efficiency, courtesy, professionalism and quality. Our commitment to customers—both yours and ours—shows in everything we do.
Jobsite Delivery
Construction and other jobsite deliveries are no problem for our dedicated teams. Whether the delivery requires special equipment, route scheduling and load planning, expedited or time-sensitive scheduling or reverse logistics, Estes has the ability to customize a solution for your particular need.
B2B Delivery
Good business-to-business delivery involves reliability, flexibility and precision timing, and Estes can deliver all three. Our cross-dock expertise and specialized technology are backed by strong customer service and the willingness to go the extra mile for you.
