Location: Corporate Office - Richmond, VA
Division: Estes Integrated Transportation Services
- Assist in daily account management, profitability research and analysis
- Runs reports on a daily basis to monitor status of shipments & work with terminals & operations to ensure freight moves through Estes’ systems to meet transit expectations
- Promote customer relations between terminals, Billing department, Operations department, Information Systems, Pricing department and customers
- Follow SOP’s developed for accounts & work with team leads to update, as business needs change
- Responsible for administrative aspects of the account or accounts including daily e-mail communications to respond to customer issues
- Proactively review data for specific trends & notify necessary personnel of findings
- Coordinate activities of purchase transportation, when necessary, ensuring established operational requirements are adhered to
- Assist with load planning for customer rollouts, as needed
- High school diploma and one-year college and/or one year customer service or sales support experience required
- 3-5 years of related experience in the transportation field, preferably in trucking industry
- Knowledge of transportation industry preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, plus some mainframe experience
- Experience with AS400 helpful
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to work as part of a team & provide assistance when necessary
- Demonstrate initiative & high tolerance for stress
- Must be self-directed with a high level of attention to detail
- Must be available to support after hours on-call rotation in support of business needs
