Job Summary
  • Perform fast & accurate data entry including entering new hires, salary adjustments, bank information, setting up direct deposits, changes of employee information & terminations, calculating trip cards for drivers, monitoring personnel files, performing employee verifications, sending monthly reports to managers.
  • Runs weekly transmissions & verifies direct Assist payroll department with weekly data entry for payroll transmission
  • Assists with the weekly processing of payroll and printing and sorting and distributing weekly payroll checks.
  • Provides customer service to employees, management and outside vendors/agencies.
  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality.
  • Regular attendance is required
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Requires previous payroll and/or HR data entry experience
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires previous payroll and/or HR data entry experience
  • Filing and general clerical office experience preferred
  • Previous Lawson payroll software experience preferred
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent accounting/math & problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload with a high level of attention to detail
  • Must be self-starter capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced team environment
  • Experience with Lawson Payroll software, AS/400 & Kronos is preferred
  • A minimum of 12 credit hours in college level accounting/ math is desired, but will consider a high school graduate or equivalent with the required experience
  • Must be willing to work overtime, including longer hours on Mondays & Tuesdays.
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 25 lbs
  • Responds well to questions. Ability to read and interpret written information and documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and will be subject to a criminal history background check
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • If a rehire, must be eligible for rehire
