As 2022 draws to a close, I can’t help but reflect on this exceptional year of growth, and all the many ways Estes has gone the extra mile to deliver a better freight shipping experience for the people we serve.
This year, we continued to invest in a long-term nationwide capacity expansion that’s been growing our footprint and helping us provide an improved level of service for our customers. Through this expansion project, we’ve added 587 terminal doors to our network this year, growing our capacity by nearly 6% since the end of 2021. And we’ve added 5,500 pieces of equipment to our inventory, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts to help us keep our customers’ freight moving through our network as efficiently as possible.
2022 also brought an exciting recognition for Estes: We improved our ranking for the fourth consecutive year in the annual LTL Carrier Customer Value and Loyalty Study, conducted by research company Mastio. This nationally recognized study rates carriers based on customer feedback and revealed that Estes was the only carrier to improve across each of Mastio’s top ten performance categories. The study also showed that shippers believe Estes provides the best value of all its competitors! I couldn’t be more proud of this distinction, and am so encouraged to know that the investments we’ve been making are translating into a better experience for our customers.
As we move into the new year, I look forward to the many exciting steps we’ll be taking in 2023 to improve our customers’ experience, from further growing our network to rolling out new applications and digital tools that make freight shipping even easier.
