Estes Named Among Top 50 Global Freight Companies For The Second Year

Richmond, VA—For the second consecutive year, Estes secured a spot on Transport Topics’ Top 50 list of the largest transportation companies in the world. Companies on the list are ranked according to full-year 2024 freight revenue.

“Being recognized among the transportation industry’s most influential leaders is an incredible honor,” said Estes President and COO Webb Estes. “It reflects the investments we continue to make in our network, our people, and the technology that helps us operate smarter and more efficiently—so we can continue delivering reliable, high value service to our customers.”

In 2025 alone, Estes opened five new terminals, moved and expanded 16 more, and added 1,038 doors to meet growing customer demand. The carrier now has 13,200 doors—an 8.7% increase in 2025 and a 32% gain over the past five years. At this pace, Estes is on track to surpass 14,000 doors by the end of 2026.

This annual ranking, produced in cooperation with SJ Consulting Group, provides a fresh look at the biggest companies in freight movement and goods handling across all modes of transportation, while also exploring how these businesses have kept supply chains running throughout the world.
